COVID-19 Updates

The AWN office is open Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.  We kindly ask staff and visitors to adhere to the current face mask and physical distancing guidelines.

We have disposable non-medical face masks available for community members at the office. Emergency food hampers are available for any community members who are quarantining and are unable to buy groceries. Please see below COVID-19 resources for more details.

A third round of food hampers was delivered in December 2021. AWN also completed a fourth round of septic emptying service at the end of December. Read more about our response to COVID-19 below.

Nanâskomowin ᓇᓈᐢᑯᒧᐃᐧᐣ Gratitude

Since March, AWN has been able to respond to the needs of the community exposed by COVID-19 with the care, help, and support of friends and partners. We would not have been able to provide the May care packages for Elders, Internet SmartHubs for families, septic tank emptying, or community care packages without the generosity of a lot of giving, thoughtful, and compassionate individuals and organizations. We thank you with our whole hearts and hope that you know how much you are appreciated and how many people your kindness has touched. As Elder Mabel Wanyandie shared with us when she called in October, “Thank you. People are happy.”
