Elders Council
The Elders Council is made up of local Elders who advise the Board of Directors to ensure the goals of the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation are being worked towards in a culturally sensitive manner. The Elders mediate, negotiate and resolve disputes. They may also ask the Board of Directors to act on matters that are important to the People. The Elders consider and discuss issues facing the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation. They both give and receive advice on the direction the Aseniwuche Winewak Nation should take on policy, programs, procedures and services.
Our Elders Council meets once a month to discuss current and pressing items. If you would like to learn more about Elders Council or find out how you can become more involved, come into the AWN office between 8:30am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday!
