Connecting parents to resources in their communities
The Grande Cache Parent Link Centre (PLC) is a family resource program that provides a spectrum of early support and prevention services for families with children. It is operated under the umbrella of Aseniwuche Winewak Nation, a not-for-profit community support organization.
The PLC is located in the Tawow Centre, a family friendly, welcoming setting within the community of Grande Cache. The PLC provides a variety of services for children ages 0 to 6 years and their caregivers in a culturally sensitive and transparent manner.

Ages & Stages
ASQ - Ages & Stagers Questionnaire are a series of questionnaires designed to monitor a child's development from birth to age five (5).
Triple 'P' Parenting Program
This program builds on your strengths as a parent and offers information, support and practical answers to everyday concerns and questions.
Circle of Security Program - Early Intervention Program for Parents & Children
We show caregivers a path to secure attachments which focuses on children's needs (and caregiver's state of mind) rather than a child's behaviours. Helping parents understand children's needs and then supporting them in finding their own way to meet those needs is both respectful and a strong competency message.
It is a behaviour translation approach
It is a balanced parenting approach based on being the bigger, wiser and kinder
It is a "reflective and bear the affect" approach
The Grande Cache PLC is committed to:
Positive parent-child relationships
Improved parenting knowledge and skills
Optimal child development
A healthy start in life for children
Working with parents to give children the best start in life!
Parent Link Centres connect parents to parents, families to families, and parents to resources in our community.
All programs and services are FREE. Please feel free to come in, have a look around and visit with our staff.
